How Do DubLi Reverse Auctions Work?

I love when people ask me, “How do your reverse auctions work?” It shows that they are open to learning new things and not so skeptical that it keeps them from saving money!

Now to the question: How do the DubLi reverse auctions work? Well, before I answer that, I think it’s important to discuss how traditional auctions work first. Auctions, like the ones you typically see on eBay or yahoo, involve Seller, their product and Buyers that bid against each other to get that said item. Each time a Buyer bids on an item, they try to outbid the last buyer by bidding higher. The highest bidder gets the item.

DubLi has three reverse auctions: Xpress, Zero and Unique. Although functionally the same, they are each quite different. DubLi’s Xpress Auction works as follows:

• Each click on “show price” lowers the actual price
• Each “show price” click costs .80¢
• Any time someone click “show price”, the price goes down (hence the URL name) in .25¢ increments
• When Customers think the price is right – they just buy it!

DubLi’s Zero Auction works as follows:

• Each click on “show price” lowers the actual price
• Each “show price” click costs .80¢
• The price drops in .25¢ increments
• If Customers lower the price from .25¢ to 0, the auction is over and the product is theirs!

Functionally the same…but you cannot buy any of the products. You can only get them for 0, or, in reality, for the .80¢ credit that you spent!

DubLi’s Unique Auction works as follows:
• Bid the price you want to pay
• Bids can be placed in increments of .25¢
• If a Customer’s bid is the lowest and unique (no one else bid the same price) amount, the item is theirs
• Each bid costs .80¢

DubLi’s reverse auctions definitely offer a new, revolutionary way to shop! Customers get the products they want at the prices they choose!
